OUR PRODUCTS

Our mechanical surface treatment products, such as rotating blasters, offer an efficient and effective method for removing various types of deposits, such as rust, paint, tar, epoxy, putty, glue residues and more. This way, the surface is ready for a new coat and protected from harmful external influences such as corrosion or wear. Using the Tercoo® Spacer and Dust Cover, polyester surfaces can also be cleaned, usually for gelcoat removal in case of osmosis. The blaster discs result in a smooth and clean surface.

Tercoo® is one of the best-known brands. Our system consists of a rotating blaster disc equipped with special tungsten carbide tips. These tips have a unique design that makes them to touch the surface lightly while turning, thus removing all rust, coatings and unwanted layers. The rotating motion hammers off the deposits, without damaging the surface itself. Using a rotating disk has several advantages. First, it is a quick method of removing deposits, saving valuable labour time. Moreover, rotating blasters are driven by a polishing or drill machine, making them very accessible to both professionals and DIYers. After the unwanted layers are removed, Tercoo discs leave a surface (Sa 2.5) that guarantees optimal adhesion of a new protective layer – improving the and longevity of the treated surface.

Tercoo® rotating blasting discs for mechanical surface treatment are available in four different versions. The Tercoo® Single, Double and Triple discs should be attached to a drilling machine with a speed of minimum 3000 and maximum 4000 rpm. The Tercoo® Multi 8-Pack is driven by a specially adapted polishing machine (230V, 110V or air-powered). Each Tercoo® blaster is carefully designed and manufactured to provide optimum performance and durability. It is important to choose the right Tercoo® blaster based on the specific stop and material to be treated to achieve the best results. Following the manufacturer’s instructions and taking proper safety precautions during use is also essential for successful surface treatment.

Tercoo® Protective hood with suction nozzle

Extraction hood for the Tercoo® Single, Double and Triple discs. With 26.8mm (Festool) vacuum cleaner connection. The protective hood is mounted on the shaft of the blaster. The components are polycarbonate, stainless steel and anodized aluminium. With this device, contaminants are efficiently extracted and do not pollute the environment.

Tercoo® Adjustable Spacer

Indispensable to determine proper depth when removing gelcoat from fiberglass. By adjusting the depth, the discs don’t grind too deep into the underground. Also recommended on steel because with the guide minimal pressure is applied to the Tercoo® discs. The life of the Tercoo® discs is thus significantly extended. The guide is attached to the neck of the drill. Parts are from stainless steel, anodized aluminum, iron and plastic.

The combination of a protective hood with an adjustable spacer is suitable for the Tercoo® Single, Double and Triple discs. This makes suction of contaminants and setting the correct depth very easy. Especially when removing gelcoat, this is a necessary combination because the depth can be accurately adjusted and a lot of (unhealthy) dust is extracted. Achieves minimum pressure and significantly longer life of the Tercoo® rotating blaster.

The Tercoo® Multi 8-pack consists of eight discs on a hexagonal shaft with M12 internal thread. The discs can be replaced individually. It is important to take proper safety precautions when using Tercoo® rotating blasters, such as wearing protective clothing, safety glasses and hearing protection. In addition, it is advisable and essential for successful surface treatment to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and regularly check the discs for wear or damage. The maximum speed of the rotary blasters is 4000 rpm and the optimum speed is between 2500 and 3000 rpm. The direction is clockwise. Never use the blaster on edges, protruding bolts, tear plate, etc.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Tercoo® rotating discs are SBR natural rubber discs fitted with 12 tungsten carbide pins. These pins are placed so that the centrifugal force moves them outward. Due to the elasticity of the rubber the pins are retracted, creating a pendulum movement. This causes the pins to hammer on the surface. No heat is generated by this hammering action, so tough materials such as tar, glue and sealant are also easily removed. This in contrast to traditional grinding wheels or brushes, which work by friction. No matter what the contamination is, Tercoo® always cleans it!
